IZZY DED
acoustic & Solo performances
IZZY DED is the stagename for Northeast Texas songwriter Colton Sanders. Colton grew up in the backwoods of Lamar County in Red River Valley.
His love for country music comes from his dad playing Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard cassettes when he was little. He remembers singing his heart out to David Allen Coe and AC/DC and Waylon Jennings while in the backseat of his dad's old pickup.
Somewhere in those timeless country classics, his love for music was born, and flourished as he got his first guitar at the age of 14 and began writing his own music.
It wasn't until almost 16 years later, that he put his first gigging band together, The Existential Dread, and began playing solo and full band shows consistently right as the COVID pandemic began. Once the scare began to fade, the band began working hard and playing live weekly, getting ready to record their first album.
That album was recorded 2022/2023 and was released October 13, 2023.
After the release of IZZY DED's debut album, "What Hurts Most" with his band The Existential Dread, and with nearly 200 shows under his belt, he now gears up to release two more EP's in 2024 and tour the Southern United States in August and November.
